RULE OF PAW: Don’t take your pet with you… unless you intend to take your pet IN with you!
Try to wear a heavy wool coat and sit in your car on a hot day (or evening) with your windows just cracked, for 30 minutes. Comfy? Even on cloudy days with your car parked in the shade and windows cracked, the inside of a car is furnace! It can still reach to over 100 degrees inside within minutes. Your pet? It can literally bake alive. Sound ugly? It is!

What good does it do Rover to go for that ride and then be left in a car? They only stress about where you are. If you leave windows all the way open, you put yourself at risk for a liability should someone reach out to pet Rover! You say your leave your car running with the air on and have an extra set of keys? It takes one person to break a window, steal your car and you’ll never see Rover again… it happens. In some cities, you can be cited if a concerned citizen reports you. It’s just not worth it.
