About Ali O'Connor and Inko's Pet Sitting

A Native of Omaha, Nebraska, Ali worked for 20 years with her brother managing his insurance agency. When not working her full-time job, Ali spent her ‘spare’ hours with animals!  Tending to pets for friends and family, helped Ali work toward other ‘wilder’ goals as well.  Starting as a docent for the world renowned ‘Henry Doorly Zoo’, she quickly shifted over to the position of Keepers Assistant as a volunteer just to be working with animals. When the opportunity came   later to join the Raptor Recovery Center of Nebraska, she jumped at the chance. It was here that Ali learned the life of an ‘on-call’ rehabilitator for raptors such as owls, falcons, hawks and eagles, as well as to serve on their board and write for their newsletter. This experience helped Ali realize the need for public awareness to grow with regard to the importance these raptors play in our environment. She then founded the Omaha Raptor Team initially in conjunction with the Omaha Audubon Society. Ali’s organization quickly grew to where they were conducting upwards of 200 programs annually in Nebraska and Iowa with their non-releasable raptors. Additional good fortune came when Jim Fowler and Peter Gros of ‘Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom’ had decided to start working with Ali’s organization for their regular visits to the Midwest.

After moving to Naples, it wasn’t long before Ali was adopted by a feral cat.  Over a three year period Ali and a fellow animal lover successfully spayed/neutered the feral community and were able to find homes for most and kindly euthanize the cats that were sick or injured.  Ali strongly encourages and asks that all pet owners understand the importance of spaying and neutering!  It’s the wisest and kindest gesture for pet overpopulation and euthanasia rates.

In 2006, Ali’s heroic father lost his incredibly courageous battle with leukemia and diabetes. His amazing humor and daily inquiries of ‘How’s my Inko today?’ are greatly missed. After her Dad’s passing, Ali decided to combine her love of animals with the ‘pet name’ her father gave her (Inko) to truly make ‘a match made in heaven’. And with that, Inko’s Pet Sitting, LLC was official!

We thank you most sincerely for considering our fine services. Let us impress you!
